Biography
The Instant are the bastard offspring of experimental tunings, savage precise drums and a mining town filled with minimal and spacious industrial sounds that echo throughout their debut album Notes And Errata. Part of what sets them apart is a unique chord vocabulary that has been developed through years of experimentation and captures their desire to explore musical boundaries. Notes And Errata features  dynamic transitions from delicately layered instrumental landscapes to all-consuming, sonically dense guitar driven onslaughts. Rhythmically, The Instant match sophistication with brutal intensity, and are armed with arguably one of the best drummers in Australia. Etch n Sketch are freaked to be releasing such an incredible debut by an Australian band. Shell shocked audiences along the east coasts will testify to the fact that The Instant are one of the most powerful performing entities in the country right now.
