Teenage Glory for the Wasted is another member of Maylasia's blossoming post-rock scene. Like KLPHQ, TGFTW has yet to cut their first record, but that hasn't stopped them from building up a large local following via an intense live show. Thankfully, "Nasir Bilal Khan" comes courtesy of This is Not a Break Up Compilation, and gives us an idea of what we might expect from TGFTW in a proper release. Ultimately the band strives for a cinematic sound, wedging themselves somewhere between This is a Process of a Still Life's pastoral meandering and Joy Wants Eternity's celestial gaze. Providing no real vertical progression in the track's structure, "Nasir Bilal Khan" merely rolls along with it's own purpose and dignity, chiming out guitar melodies and consistently maintaining a calm peace of mind. Smooth sailing from start to finish.
Not to be outdone by their KLPHQ, Teenage Glory of the Wasted has plans to enter the studio and record their debut release. All things considered, the next year could be huge for this small country.
