List Records brings us Australia's Boy is Fiction, a new talent from a country that keeps delivering the goods. Much of the background information about this project is shrouded in mystery, though the discerning among us may unearth some key 'coincidences' which hint at the BiF's origin.  Nevertheless, Boy is Fiction is a wonderfully entertaining album, which succeeds on the electronic front, but also dares to pull at the heartstrings a little as well. Many different elements are incorporated into the album, the glue being the welcoming presentation which always pervades; BiF could certainly be more adventurous in his choice of material, but a laid back approach permeates throughout the effort and ties everything together. In the end, Boy is Fiction makes it all look so easy...
