Europa is back. Everyone's favorite astronauts return for their second space voyage, this time packing only a single CD and the obligatory towel. Wake/Lift boils the extremities found on The Galilean Satellites down into a digestible whole, retaining their metallic base but also upping the ante on the experimental ambient undertones, rocking full throttle on all fronts. This is Stars of the Lid crammed into the closet with Neurosis and given an hour to work out their differences, and what results is an impeccable balance of  finesse and  power. Rosetta have once again set the bar extremely high for all of their peers, a place where it's likely to stay until we see them swing back into orbit a few years from now...
