After the band's 4 track demo made it's way through the underground in 2006, Omega Massif makes good on its promising debut with Geisterstadt, a six track affair of monstrous proportions. Residing somewhere among contemporaries such as Mouth of the Architect and Year of No Light, Omega Massif merges the worlds of post-rock and metal into a cohesive whole, if not erring on the metal side with a standard setup of 2x guitar, bass, and drums. Experimentalism is traded in for more carnage, and tracks such as "Unter Null" leave no doubt in the listener's mind as to the dominance of this act. But this is just the tip of the iceberg...
