Maybe They Will Sing for Us Tomorrow is a special release from the Hammock camp. Composed for the after party to Riceboy Sleeps' debut art exhibition held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the CD commemorates the duo's first ever live performance. Due to the nature of the performance, Hammock was forced to adapt to a new environment away from the studio where much of their wizardry shines through. But what comprises the length of Maybe They Will Sing... is nothing short of inspiring; Hammock stitches together their trademark sound with the best of the minimal ambient world. Whereas previous excursions into minimalism haven't been the most flattering of Hammock's music, this album shows that they're holding nothing back (and nothing is holding them back) and dazzle the audience with an hour's worth of stargazing brilliance. Maybe They Will Sing... certainly ups the ante for the next full length; the sky's the limit...
