After a strong showing in 2006's Migrations, Emanuele Errante returns with Humus on the newly formed Somnia label. The album catches Errante in his element, crafting experimental music with such ease and precision that it sounds as if he was born for exactly this purpose. While many sound artists get bogged down with a particular sound throughout the length of an album, Errante makes sure that each track has its own distinctive sound and this in turn makes the album all the more accessible. Humus gently tugs at the heart and anyone caught in its path will be lovestruck. Highly recommended for fans of Stars of the Lid, Christopher Willits, and Eluvium.
