Long after the drone wars have raged across Canada, Destroyalldreamer's shoegazing axe man, Eric Quach, is settling the score with Thisquietarmy's Unconquered. After a string of successful EPs, Quach's debut album delivers exactly what we'd expect -- heavy handed ambient drone that's not afraid to pull in the percussion for support, and generally just does lot of crazy things ambient musicians aren't known for. It's precisely the risky nature of the album which makes it such a joy to listen to, and much like Quach's other project, the album gets increasingly more enjoyable with every listen. Hopefully if this album is successful enough we can convince quach to invest in a keyboard with a working space bar.
