Volume Objects is the long awaited, much anticipated 12k debut from Autistici, aka David Newman of Audiobulb Records. True to form, the album is full of exploratory electronics and experimental ambience, combining digital and acoustic sounds in a manner which compels the listner to dig in for a serious time commitment. Though these soundscapes are meticulously crafted, the organicism involved makes it difficult to believe that this isn't naturally occurring sound and demonstrates Newman's understanding of his art and pinpoint execution.  As long as12k has no plans to sacrifice subtlety in the near future, it is quickly becoming one of the most important experimental labels on the market.
